Perfect LOVE casts out all fear - 3/21/2015
Mission Impossible Loving on our leader – I felt the need to care for Vinay’s family, so we decided to pay his family a visit at our last day in India. We simply loved on them, sharing testimonies to them and encouraging them to get to know Jesus. As we prayed, Vinay’s wife felt dizzy and wanted us to stop praying; of course it was the work of the demon, we started to minister to her. She needs to get saved and encounters God’s love.
Buffalo horn – after visiting Vinay’s famly, we headed over for lunch. As I was riding in Raj’s motorcycle, God reminded me about the buffalo horn. After the defeat and disappointment on Monday at Sumit’s house, I was feeling confused, upset and doubt. I questioned myself why the demons didn’t want to leave, which left me with much discouragement. “Is this because we didn't’ fast and pray?”, “Where was God when we were casting out demons?”, “Was Jesus with us? Why not?” I meant, all these doubts and questions came hitting me like crazy. On Monday after leaving Sumit’s, I had this crazy thought about getting a buffalo horn because horns represent power, strength, victory or authority in the Bible. It is used in the battle, to mobilize and motivate the army. I didn’t know it was impossible to get buffalo horns in India. So when I had a thought about getting a horn, in my heart I heard that God said, “I will give you a horn before you leave India.” It is to prove that He is with us. “He is the horn of our salvation!” Psalm 18.
So I tapped on Raj’s shoulder and asked him where I could get a buffalo horn (in my mind, I was thinking about Muslim’s market because they eat buffalos) Raj replied that he doesn’t know anything about it, but he told me that Vinay might know.
I immediately asked Vinay for it. Vinay said that they don't sell horns as souvenirs in the market, and asked me why I wanted a horn. “Well, God told me that He will give me a horn before I leave to prove that He is with me.” I replied. Vinay again said that they don’t sell horns because buffalos are holy animals to the Hindus; it’s unlawful to touch buffalos, not to mention killing the animals for horns. Then he said, “but my father may be able to get it.”
What happens is, Vinay’s father works at a factory that cleanse the dead buffalos that die due to old age or accidents. Immediately I asked Vinay to call his father.
Before the train left, Vinay brought a bag and pulled out 4 buffalo horns to me. He also said, “they are still fresh.”
Before I left, I showed the horns to the local leaders and the missionaries. They were all amazed and praised God for His work. It’s truly an impossible thing God did among us to show us that He is with us. God is our strength!
