Hello God, can I stay home this time?
I don’t like to travel.
I used to travel often back in the days but I prefer staying at home nowadays.
On my flight to China and Nepal, the Spirit of God spoke to me that I don’t travel for fun or pleasure, I travel with purposes and missions. Anyone can travel for leisure, but not everyone would travel to fulfill His callings.
Our time in this life is not for our own happiness, but for the will of God. There is no greater joy or peace that we can know in this life than that which comes from doing the will of God. However, if our own satisfaction is the very purpose of our life, we will not find it here on earth and we will also sacrifice the greatest of satisfaction for eternity.
“Do you know that those who run the race all run, but only one receives a prize? Run in such a way that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly after I’ve preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.” (1 Cor. 9:24-27)
Now I travel, for it’s my fight and my race. My flesh suffers but my spirit prospers.
I travel, for I desire to see His callings fulfilled and His glory manifested through me.
