Movement vs. Monument
Yes. We as believers of Yeshua (Jesus) are called to disciple nations (make disciples). But are we making new converts into true disciples? Are our converts being converted by the Cross, or by our doctrines or our denominations, our methodology and preferences? Do we point them to Yeshua or just to us?
Holy Spirit makes true disciples. He brings the conviction of sin that casts one in desperation upon the cross to find relief. If our conversion does not begin from desperation because of our sins, which cause us to cling to the cross for forgiveness, then we have started on the wrong foundation. Without death, there wouldn't be the resurrection. Death comes first.
A monument is to remember the dead, the past. A movement is to celebrate the resurrection from the dead. True discipleships create a true godly movement. A true movement shapes nations in fulfilling their destinies.
"For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God." (1 Cor. 1:17-18)
